About Our Client Our client is an expanding U.S.-based enterprise in the apparel/consumer goods sector that emphasizes data-driven strategy, operational precision, and robust team collaboration. They are currently recruiting a meticulous Planning and Operations Analyst to support their merchandising, strategic planning, and operational teams. About the Role The Planning and Operations Analyst will integrate analytical precision with comprehensive product flow understanding to support both commercial and operational business dimensions. This position primarily concentrates on strategic planning, including detailed SKU-level forecasting, seasonal and in-season planning, and line plan architecture, while simultaneously supporting operational tasks to guarantee seamless product movement from manufacturing to customer. Key Responsibilities Planning Focus - Evaluate sales patterns, product performance, and inventory dynamics to support seasonal and annual merchandise strategic planning. - Collaborate with Merchandising to develop granular SKU-level forecasts and assortment strategies aligned with financial objectives and brand vision. - Manage reporting on sales, margin, inventory positioning, and performance across category/class/style levels to generate actionable insights. - Maintain and ensure item master data accuracy across systems through cross-functional collaboration. - Track in-season business to identify potential risks and opportunities, recommending actions to maximize profitability and minimize markdown impacts. - Support post-season comprehensive reviews and strategic planning for future purchasing cycles. - Develop and maintain line plan architecture, optimizing SKU productivity and channel efficiency. - Assist with Open-to-Buy management and size distribution to ensure demand alignment. Operations Focus - Generate and upload SKUs into Shopify. - Examine invoices and coordinate timely payment processes. - Engage with production to resolve EXF delays and monitor inventory. - Execute monthly inventory audits and reconcile potential discrepancies. - Manage shipping, receiving, and logistics coordination with third-party logistics partners. - Validate freight expenses and identify cost-minimization strategies while ensuring timely delivery. - Support launch coordination and cross-functional operational initiatives. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline. - 3–5 years experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or operations—preferably within apparel or consumer goods sectors. - Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency; familiarity with WMS, ERP systems, and Shopify is advantageous. - Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail. - Capability to transform complex data into meaningful, actionable insights. - Superior communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Demonstrated passion for apparel, product storytelling, and operational excellence.
