Parsons Transportation Group is looking for a Planner to join our team and provide crucial on-site support for a complex infrastructure project in Dublin. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, integrating, and managing project schedules to control milestones, risks, and costs, ensuring delivery meets time and quality standards.
What You'll Do
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules and baselines.
- Monitor project progress and report schedule deviations or issues.
- Coordinate scheduling activities across cross-functional teams.
- Manage scheduling tools, databases, and reporting outputs.
- Facilitate effective communication with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Identify schedule-related risks and support mitigation planning.
- Provide scheduling insights to PMO and Assurance functions.
- Contribute to project documentation and performance reporting.
- Analyze critical path and float to support project planning.
- Assist with cost forecasting, valuations, and accruals related to scheduling.
- Promote the adoption of best-practice scheduling methodologies.
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of experience in project controls or planning within infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience in a similar planning or project management role.
- Strong knowledge of project management and scheduling principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and scheduling software/tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
- A minimum Level 8 degree (or equivalent) in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of quality management and process improvement practices.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
