ALDO Group is looking for a Piping Designer to focus on creating detailed 3D piping design models for the Holtec Small Modular Reactor (SMR) plant using S3D (SmartPlant 3D). You will play a key role in the design and layout of critical plant systems.
What You'll Do
- Utilize S3D (SmartPlant 3D) to create 3D piping design models within and supporting the SMR plant, including equipment layout, pipe routing, and pipe support design.
- Maintain and check the S3D model to ensure accuracy and resolve interferences.
- Create Piping isometrics, general equipment layout drawings, and material take off lists.
- Apply piping best practices and principles when routing piping.
- Support procedure inputs and reviews as required.
- Build relationships that facilitate knowledge transfer and cross-functional knowledge of related work groups.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a SmartPlant 3D Piping Designer.
- Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of piping drafting and design standards and techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and capability of producing error-free documents.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
Nice to Have
- Completion of Intergraph/Hexagon certified training courses.
- Professional certification in Piping design.
- Working understanding and hands-on experience of other design and analysis software, such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, Revit, and Cesar.
- Work experience in design or other relevant types of engineering such as systems startup, field engineering, or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or engineering/construction firms.
