Dane Street is looking for a Board-Certified General Surgeon to conduct independent medical reviews as a contract Physician Reviewer. In this non-clinical, fully remote role, you will provide essential Utilization Review (UR) and Independent Review Organization (IRO) services, offering a path to flexible, supplemental income.
What You'll Do
- Review medical records to determine the medical necessity of proposed treatments and surgeries.
- Evaluate appealed cases and provide evidence-based decisions.
- Submit clear, objective reports through Dane Street’s online platform.
- Apply industry standards and clinical guidelines consistently.
What We're Looking For
- Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license.
- Board Certification in General Surgery.
- Current involvement in a clinical or surgical practice.
- Strong written communication and critical thinking skills.
- Comfortable with independent, remote work.
