Tenet Healthcare is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will evaluate patients' motor and neurological capabilities and develop rehabilitative programs under general supervision, utilizing standard physical therapy procedures to deliver high-quality care.
What You'll Do
- Treat patients using standard physical therapy procedures such as heat, cold, electricity, traction, ultrasound, and exercise.
- Evaluate patients' motor and neurological capabilities and document your findings.
- Assist patients in rehabilitative exercise programs and instruct them in the use of rehabilitative equipment.
- Administer and interpret a variety of tests to evaluate patient capabilities.
- Document patient treatments, initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Develop home care programs for patients and provide instruction to their families.
- Attend interdisciplinary meetings and consult with team members regarding patient treatment.
- Oversee, instruct, and evaluate physical therapy assistants, aides, students, and/or volunteers.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in assigned treatment areas.
- Maintain professional expertise through workshops, lectures, and conferences.
- Assist in implementing programs and services to foster an interdisciplinary, service line system of care.
- Promote the values of the DMC through supportive behaviors.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or certification from an accredited physical therapy program.
- A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan.
Team & Environment
You will report to the Supervisor, Physical Therapy and serve as a member of a designated service line, working within an interdisciplinary team.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position.
