About the Role

Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Inc. is looking for a Phlebotomist I to join our team. In this patient-facing role, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate identification and high-quality care.

What You'll Do

  • Obtain quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for patients of all ages.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, and proper processing, handling, and transportation.
  • Assist in the recovery of patients experiencing adverse reactions and provide rapid response to medical emergencies in the inpatient setting.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and care teams, explaining procedures and addressing concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Handle sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure safety.
  • Work fluently with computer programs and systems and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other test administration and specimen collection as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Nice to Have

  • Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License
  • Completion of a formal phlebotomy course
