Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Inc. is looking for a Phlebotomist I to join our team. In this patient-facing role, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate identification and high-quality care.
What You'll Do
- Obtain quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for patients of all ages.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, and proper processing, handling, and transportation.
- Assist in the recovery of patients experiencing adverse reactions and provide rapid response to medical emergencies in the inpatient setting.
- Communicate effectively with patients and care teams, explaining procedures and addressing concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure safety.
- Work fluently with computer programs and systems and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other test administration and specimen collection as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Nice to Have
- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy course
