Mass General Brigham Community Physicians, Inc. is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens from patients for laboratory testing. As part of a not-for-profit organization that supports patient care, research, teaching, and community service, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate specimen handling and contributing to exceptional patient care.
What You'll Do
- Obtain quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, processing, handling, and transportation of specimens.
- Communicate effectively with patients and patient care teams, explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle sharps and biohazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Work fluently with computer programs and systems, and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform other test administration and specimen collection as assigned.
- May assist in the recovery of patients experiencing adverse reactions and provide a rapid response to medical emergencies in the inpatient setting.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License (State License).
- Completion of a phlebotomy course.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $18.58 - $26.58/Hourly.
Work Mode
This role works onsite at 151 Everett Avenue.
