Mass General Brigham is looking for a Pharmacy Technician I to join The McLean Hospital Corporation. You will perform a variety of routine support tasks integral to the pharmacy department, reporting to a staff pharmacist and/or pharmacy leadership team. Staffing assignments include roles throughout central pharmacy and designated specialized pharmacy areas.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and distribute unit dose medications, outpatient prescriptions, and stock orders while maintaining the safe handling and integrity of medications.
- Perform all required pharmaceutical dosage calculations necessary to prepare extemporaneous dosage forms under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Adhere to safety requirements for handling non-hazardous medications in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- May prepare compounded sterile products using principles of aseptic technique, distribute and transport controlled substances under the appropriate state of control, or maintain code cart inventory.
- Assist with training of Pharmacy Technician Trainees.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Pharmacy Technician State License
Nice to Have
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from PTCB
- 1-2 years previous hospital-related experience, formal training, or certification from a pharmacy technician training program
Team & Environment
You will report to a staff pharmacist and/or pharmacy leadership team.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at 243-245 Charles Street.
