AnewHealth is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to perform activities associated with drug distribution, ordering, and control under direct supervision. You will act as a liaison between customers and providers and participate in company quality initiatives to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality pharmacy operations.
What You'll Do
- Assist in entering minor edits to record correct dispensing quantity and manufacturer NDC used to dispense prescription orders.
- Use pharmacy software to check and record data about prescriptions.
- Act as a liaison between customers, their providers, and the pharmacy; receive and triage incoming calls and messages to answer questions, fill orders, or handle other requests.
- Establish and maintain patient profiles, including medication lists, and use proprietary software to document medication care plans.
- Use pharmaceutical technician expertise to ensure compliance, efficiency, and quality of operations.
- Participate in company quality initiatives, recognizing opportunities for improvements and reporting quality assurance issues.
- Secure information in accordance with privacy and security guidelines such as HIPAA.
What We're Looking For
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- Active pharmacy technician license in your state of residence.
- Must obtain NJ license within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and strong computer proficiency to navigate proprietary and other software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Strong patient-centered focus and excellent phone communication skills.
- Understanding of clinical terms and their impacts.
- Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities without sacrificing quality.
- Detail-oriented, organized, with strong data entry capability.
Nice to Have
- CPhT certification.
