International SOS Government Medical Services is looking for a Clinical Pharmacist to manage the procurement, dispensing, and monitoring of medications, ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical care. In this role, you will collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication management and contribute directly to patient health outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the medication delivery system and assure the integrity and proper storage of all medications.
- Participate in quality assurance activities regarding medications to maintain quality patient care and cost-effective medication management.
- Maintain records and reports related to the purchase, receipt, and disposition of drugs and related supplies.
- Deliver pharmaceutical care including patient-centered, outcomes-orientated pharmacy practice.
- Work with patients and other healthcare providers to promote health, prevent disease, and assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication use to ensure safe and effective drug therapy regimens.
- Dispense formulary medications.
- Fill prescriptions at local pharmacies which are part of the Script Care Network (or other designated Pharmacy Benefits Manager).
What We're Looking For
- Current and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Trained in Basic First Aid.
- At least one year of general experience demonstrating the ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public, understand and apply written and verbal orders, rules, and regulations, and maintain good judgment, alertness, and an even temperament.
- Ability to maintain poise and self-control during stressful situations such as fires, explosions, civil disturbances, and building evacuations.
- A doctoral degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education OR three (3) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, Ph.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
- Must be able to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes, jog/fast walk up to ¼ mile, lift objects greater than 30 pounds, perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling, and assist sick, injured, or aging patients or staff exiting the building.
- Must be able to see, hear and smell with aids if necessary, lift, push, or carry 30 pounds, and perform duties in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must maintain current/physical residency in the continental U.S.
- Pass a medical examination conducted by a licensed physician within 30 days prior to initial assignment.
- Be a U.S. citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the U.S. for permanent residence.
- Have resided in the U.S. for the last five years (unless abroad on official U.S. government duty).
- Successfully engage in and complete a thorough Background Investigation.
- Possess or have ability to obtain required security clearances.
