221 Psykiatria's HUS Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmaceutical Technician for our pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Meilahti, Helsinki. We have openings for both a permanent position starting 1.7.2026 and a fixed-term position from 4.5.2026 to 30.4.2027. In this role, you will be a key member of a 30-person multidisciplinary team dedicated to producing pharmaceutical preparations when suitable commercial products are not available.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the manufacturing of both non-sterile and sterile medicines.
- Handle goods receipt and perform microbiological environmental monitoring.
- Participate in work rotation at HUS Pharmacy's Jorvi unit for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Produce aseptic pharmaceutical preparations including eye preparations, painkiller mixtures, pediatric parenteral nutrition, and infusion pumps with various antibiotics.
- Produce other preparations such as powder doses, oral suspensions for pediatric patients, ointments, and allergy test preparations.
What We're Looking For
- A basic qualification in the pharmaceutical field (Pharmaceutical Technician, Pharmaconomist, or Pharmaceutical Worker).
- Another social and healthcare qualification.
- A student of pharmacy or pharmaceuticals.
- Suitable experience in the pharmaceutical or social and healthcare field.
- Vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act for patient-facing work.
- Health clearance for pulmonary tuberculosis for work in healthcare operational units.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy or working in a cleanroom environment.
- Experience working in instrument maintenance.
- Those graduating into the profession in the near future will also be considered.
Team & Environment
You will join a 30-person multidisciplinary team and be part of HUS Pharmacy's pharmaceutical manufacturing unit. You will report to Jiri Vehviläinen, the Supervisor of Pharmaceutical Technicians in Helsinki pharmaceutical manufacturing.
