HCS Hilb Group of New York was looking for a Personal Lines Account Manager

HCS Hilb Group of New York is hiring a Personal Lines Account Manager to manage an assigned book of business and act as the primary client relationship manager. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and works well within a team to ensure outstanding service.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively manage an assigned book of business, acting as the primary client relationship manager with responsibility for overall account servicing and maintenance.
  • Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes, and general insurance questions related to personal lines.
  • Manage billing, service, and endorsement requests and process the necessary paperwork.
  • Act as a liaison between customer and carrier, working closely with both to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Handle the renewal process for your book of business by reviewing loss information, obtaining updated details, preparing applications, and negotiating renewal pricing when necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of all company systems and offerings.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales within the property & casualty insurance industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively via phone and email.
  • Superior listening skills and ability to probe for customer needs using question-based selling and retention techniques.
  • Self-directed with good decision-making and time management skills.
  • Proficient PC skills and knowledge of insurance software, including AMS360.

This role reports to our agency located in Williston Park, NY.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation: $60,000-$68,000 per year.
