About the Role

Join METRO/MAKRO as a People & Culture Consultant, where you will be the central point of contact for employees and managers from various group companies at our Düsseldorf campus. You will guide colleagues through the entire employee life cycle and support the implementation of strategic HR projects.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the central contact person for all People & Culture topics for employees and managers across multiple group companies at the Düsseldorf campus.
  • Guide employees through the entire Employee Life Cycle, from recruiting and onboarding to offboarding, advising on complex matters such as relocation, parental leave, and benefits.
  • Ensure administrative implementation of P&C processes, prepare documents, and maintain overviews and reports.
  • Support P&C Business Partners in strategic topics like personnel planning and development, and handle tasks for processes such as salary rounds and performance reviews.
  • Contribute to strategic P&C projects, participate in implementation, and create concepts and communications for initiatives like personnel restructuring.
  • Collaborate with the works council on coordination-relevant topics and prepare documents for consultations and negotiations.
  • Exchange with internal stakeholders including P&C colleagues and labor law specialists.
  • Identify optimization potential in existing processes and drive standardization and efficiency improvements.
  • Take thematic responsibility for selected focus areas such as relocation, young talents, or health management.

What We're Looking For

  • Completed vocational training and first relevant professional experience in a P&C service environment (e.g., HR administration), or a completed degree ideally with a human resources focus.
  • Experience in consulting and handling consultation-intensive HR topics.
  • Structured, reliable way of working and a strong service orientation.
  • Very good English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office programs.
  • Clear, empathetic communication and a team-oriented work style.
  • Willingness to take ownership, a solution-oriented mindset, and enjoyment of continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SAP HCM and Digital Workplace tools.
  • Interest in labor law and co-determination law, and motivation to acquire further knowledge in these fields.
