Deel is looking for a Payroll Implementation Manager to oversee the successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems for our clients. In this role, you will lead the full payroll implementation process, ensuring accurate data transfer and seamless transition for clients in Norway.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of a global payroll system, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Oversee the migration of payroll data from legacy systems, ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Gather key requirements from clients to facilitate onboarding and guide them through technical payroll aspects.
- Create, maintain, and manage project plans to deliver the successful roll-out of clients.
- Define and set up agreed client payroll processes, establishing all payroll and data requirements.
- Ensure all payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws, keeping up-to-date with any changes.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive testing plan to identify and resolve system issues.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll project matters for the client.
- Schedule and attend weekly client calls to report on project status, identifying risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide regular status reporting to senior leadership and escalate issues where necessary.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and process documentation.
- Implement change management strategies to ensure a seamless transition for employees and HR teams.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance across Norway.
- Experience with payroll systems and software.
- Client-facing project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
