Lime is hiring a Payroll Coordinator

About the Role

Lime is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to provide essential payroll and HR services for the NA and APAC region. Reporting to the People Ops Program Manager, you will act as a crucial bridge between Finance and the People team, serving as the first point of contact for all payroll-related inquiries.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary contact for NA and APAC employee inquiries related to payroll.
  • Assist employees in understanding their wages, earnings, and deductions.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure employees are informed of any adjustments that affect compensation.
  • Liaise with internal payroll global teams and external providers to ensure correct processing across countries and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process compensation and bonus changes in Workday to ensure smooth processing for payroll cutoff.
  • Ensure approval processes are followed for special payroll requests, including manual adjustments.
  • Maintain payroll vendor employee set up for new hires and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with various state and federal regulations.
  • Drive and support process improvements by identifying inefficiencies, streamlining workflows, and recommending scalable solutions.
  • Champion automation initiatives by working cross-functionally to reduce manual work and implement tools that increase accuracy and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a payroll coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Experience working in an international payroll environment and familiarity with different payroll systems.
  • Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll within the North America and APAC regions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements and automation.
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, including managing templates, performing data analysis, and creating pivot tables or reports.
  • Comfortable using Word or Google Docs for documentation and communication.
