Ensemble Performing Arts is hiring a Payroll Coordinator

About the Role

Ensemble Performing Arts is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and supporting reporting and compliance for our growing portfolio of performing arts businesses.

What You'll Do

  • Compile and analyze payroll data from business locations across the country
  • Triage and resolve payroll errors and processing issues
  • Manage employee inquiries regarding payroll
  • Process guaranteed payments and other manual payroll adjustments when required
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRS
  • Support payroll system integrations for new acquisitions, including employee data preparation and onboarding
  • Maintain SharePoint files, templates, and reports
  • Prepare and maintain payroll reports
  • Support government reporting requirements, including U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics submissions and unemployment claims
  • Prepare and submit non-payroll tax filings when required
  • Support annual workers’ compensation filings and audits

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience with core payroll functions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills
