What You'll Do
Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. Gather and verify timekeeping records, ensuring data integrity across weekly and daily submissions.
Conduct regular reconciliations of payroll accounts and assist in preparing year-end documentation, including T-4 slips and records of employment. Submit statutory deductions such as CPP and EI to government accounts in a timely manner.
Generate detailed payroll reports for internal review and external compliance purposes. Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, building strong working relationships across departments and with outside agencies.
Champion workplace safety by modeling best practices and mentoring team members, contributing to a secure and responsible work environment.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a high school diploma and have completed post-secondary studies in business, accounting, or a related field. A minimum of two years of hands-on payroll experience is required.
Proficiency in MS Office is essential for daily tasks. Candidates with a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation will be given preference. Familiarity with union collective agreements and experience supporting payroll system implementations or upgrades is considered an asset.

Work Mode
This is an onsite role based in Williams Lake, BC. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to the area or reside nearby, as remote work is not a permanent option for this position.
