Leadtech is hiring a Senior Payment Specialist to lead and optimize our global payments strategy during a key phase of expansion. You will focus on improving payment performance, expanding into new regions, and strengthening fraud prevention to ensure a seamless and secure payment experience for our users.
What You'll Do
- Protect revenue across high-impact internal projects by ensuring alignment with business needs and long-term growth strategies.
- Proactively prevent and minimize risk through early detection of potential challenges.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in the Payments domain, providing guidance and mentorship to the broader team.
- Lead the expansion into new markets and payment territories.
- Optimize Authorization Rate (AR%), monitor performance fluctuations, and propose strategic rebalancing.
- Analyze key metrics and conversion trends across the payment funnel.
- Monitor and improve payment page performance and checkout experience.
- Oversee Risk & Fraud ratios, including chargeback and fraud rates, and develop data-driven mitigation strategies.
- Drive payment optimization initiatives and propose new strategic actions.
- Deliver analytical and strategic reporting to support business decisions.
- Develop, implement, and supervise contingency plans and real-time alerts to mitigate risks.
- Monitor real-time transaction limits and propose resolutions to issues impacting teams or projects.
- Provide continuous support and mentoring to team members on payments-related matters.
- Promote clear, structured, and effective communication both in analytical reporting and strategic discussions.
- Share knowledge and best practices to support team development and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Coordinate initiatives across internal teams and with external stakeholders to align payments strategy with broader company goals.
- Actively contribute to departmental growth through improvement proposals and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed on payment industry trends, technologies, and provider landscape.
- Maintain a strong understanding of technical, operational, and analytical aspects of the payments ecosystem.
- Share insights about Leadtech’s projects, team structure, and historical context to strengthen team knowledge and continuity.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in payments operations or PSP management, preferably in a B2C environment.
- Strong knowledge of payment systems, including gateways, acquirers, PSPs, and fraud tools.
- Proven track record managing authorization rates, conversion, chargebacks, and fraud KPIs.
- Experience with payment flows, local payment methods, and market expansion.
- Familiar with dispute management, 3DS, and risk control best practices.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Support teams.
- Comfortable working with data to interpret trends and support decision-making.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and well-organized.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
