Corewell Health is looking for a Patient Services Representative to deliver top-notch healthcare service as part of a dedicated team. In this vital role, you will provide registration, concierge, and clerical services, acting as a key point of contact for patients and visitors.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a concierge by greeting and communicating with patients or visitors.
- Perform clerical functions, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments using decision trees, ordering supplies, generating letters, and processing mail.
- Identify and remind patients of health maintenance gaps.
- Document patient phone calls in the EHR for call routing and resolution.
- Perform patient registration and check-in, confirming demographic and insurance information and assisting with self-registration.
- Perform patient check-out, scheduling follow-up or confirming future appointments.
- Maintain patient medical records according to standards and upload Right Fax documents into EPIC.
- Complete basic EHR/EMR scanning tasks.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives and complete all required safety competencies.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a customer service role or the healthcare industry.
