Anova Care, a provider of home care and home health services, is looking for a Patient Service Representative to act as the key point of contact for our patients. This entry-level, remote position involves greeting patients in person and over the phone to support our care delivery.
What You'll Do
- Answer the telephone promptly and courteously, referring calls to the appropriate area and correctly identifying urgent calls.
- Make and assist in making initial and return appointments, confirming and updating patient address, phone, and insurance information in the computer system.
- Register patients and generate required paperwork for visits.
- Call patients to remind them of scheduled visits at least one business day in advance.
- Collect co-pays.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills in all interactions.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to read and communicate in English with computer literacy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to greet patients and visitors in person or over the phone.
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of healthcare professionals.
- Capability to maintain a high standard of customer service and company protocol in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to utilize personal initiative, maintain steady productivity, and be a self-starter.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
