ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa is hiring a Patient Intake Specialist to support ABA therapy services. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for onboarding new and existing patients while also managing insurance authorizations and performing quality assurance checks on clinical and administrative documentation.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families, engaging primarily via phone.
- Gather essential information from families regarding their insurance, therapy needs, and scheduling preferences.
- Ensure every detail is accurately and thoroughly recorded to create a seamless onboarding experience.
- Verify the accuracy and completion of all required forms for compliance and quality assurance standards.
- Submit insurance verification requests with 100% accuracy.
- Enter and manage client data in Central Reach, maintaining precision across all records.
- Monitor all client interactions and ensure all necessary actions are completed promptly and efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to manage multiple moving parts, track deadlines, and follow up.
- Patience and professionalism to handle sensitive conversations with families.
- Proficiency with Google Drive, Excel, and other administrative tools.
- A self-starter who can independently document interactions and track tasks.
- Must work EST hours, Monday - Friday 09:00AM - 06:00PM.
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Must have a fixed fiber line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection.
- Must have a reliable power backup solution to manage load shedding and power outages.
Nice to Have
- Background in home care, ABA therapy, healthcare, or insurance verification.
- Proficiency with Central Reach.
