DaVita, a company whose name means ‘giving life,’ is looking for a Patient Care Technician to join our clinical team. You will provide essential, hands-on care to patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis center, building long-term relationships as part of a holistic care team.

What You'll Do

Provide direct one-on-one patient care to deliver safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment.
Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, measuring and recording vital signs and observations.
Perform hemodialysis machine setup.
Care for multiple patients during your shift.
Build long-term relationships with patients who receive treatment approximately three times per week.
Educate patients on kidney dialysis-related topics.
Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

What We're Looking For

A genuine desire to enter the health care field to care for other people in need.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Comfort working around blood and needles.
Comfort mixing acid or bicarb solutions.
The physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
A flexible schedule and ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to Have

Health care experience is a plus, including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

Team & Environment

You will join a cross-functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership, reporting directly to a Registered Nurse (RN).
