Fresenius Medical Care North America is looking for a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team at the Desert Inn clinic in Las Vegas. In this vital role, you will support patients and their families while providing safe and effective dialysis therapy under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will build meaningful relationships with patients during their clinic visits.

What You'll Do

Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
Obtain and document necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
Evaluate vascular access pre-treatment and perform vascular access cannulation.
Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
Monitor patients’ response to dialysis therapy.
Evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access and discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures.
Report any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to your supervisor.
Enter all treatment data into the designated clinical application in an accurate and timely manner.
Collect, label, appropriately prepare, and store lab samples according to required laboratory specifications.
Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surfaces, chairs, equipment, and surrounding areas between treatments according to facility policy.
Assist other healthcare members in providing patient education.
Prepare, organize, and efficiently use supplies and equipment to prevent waste.
