The General Hospital Corporation is looking for a Patient Care Associate (CNA) to join the White 6 Orthopedics unit at Mass General Hospital. In this role, you will support a 30-bed unit specializing in orthopedic and Oral Maxillofacial/Medical care by assisting registered nurses with direct patient care and essential unit functions.
What You'll Do
- Assist RNs with a variety of functions, including phlebotomy and EKGs
- Transport patients as needed
- Check rooms and equipment
- Assist patients with dressing and feeding
- Perform some clerical functions
- Respond to patient requests in a timely manner
- Safeguard patient confidentiality
- Monitor patient safety
- Communicate in a respectful manner
What We're Looking For
- Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program at the time of hire
- Candidate enrolled in a Nursing program, Pre-Med, or PA undergraduate program with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed at time of hire
Nice to Have
- Recent experience and/or training in clinical patient care
