Mass General Brigham is hiring a Patient Care Assistant to join the Family Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. You will support licensed personnel by helping patients with their daily needs and performing basic clinical tasks, contributing to a team focused on exceptional care.
What You'll Do
- Perform vital signs, weights, heights, and intake/output measurements accurately and promptly.
- Complete all required documentation in the medical record.
- Interact effectively with patients and their families.
- Help patients with basic hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, using the toilet, and feeding.
- Assist patients with turning, repositioning in bed, and moving between bed and wheelchair.
- Listen to patient health concerns and report them to the nursing staff.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification).
- Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (Massachusetts).
- Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire).
- 1-2 years of experience in patient care or elder care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient and customer service skills.
- Proficient computer skills for working with electronic medical records.
Team & Environment
You will work under the direction of licensed personnel on the Family Unit.
