Mass General Brigham is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the 7ABD Oncology unit at Brigham and Women's Hospital. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and perform basic clinical tasks under the direction of licensed personnel, contributing to a team dedicated to groundbreaking medical care.
What You'll Do
- Perform vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within the established time frame.
- Complete all required documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Interact effectively with patients and their families.
- Help patients with basic hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, using the toilet, and feeding.
- Assist patients with turning, repositioning in bed, and moving between bed and wheelchair.
- Listen to patient health concerns and report them to nurses.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Strong patient and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
Nice to Have
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS Certification).
- Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification).
- Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (Massachusetts).
- Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire).
- 1-2 years experience working in patient care or elder care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.

Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly pay range: $18.22 - $26.06
- $750.00 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.
