Role OverviewAs a Patient Arrival Specialist, you are the first point of contact for individuals entering healthcare facilities, playing a key role in shaping their initial experience. Your presence sets the tone for their visit, combining courtesy, efficiency, and attentiveness to ensure comfort and confidence from arrival onward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer a friendly and professional greeting to patients, visitors, and staff, using appropriate salutations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
  • Support the patient check-in process by guiding individuals through digital platforms, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Address questions and concerns promptly, using clear communication to resolve issues and escalate when necessary
  • Conduct regular rounds in waiting areas to assess patient needs, offering assistance and updates as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in public spaces, including entrances and waiting rooms, with routine sanitizing and restocking of supplies
  • Perform administrative duties such as verifying patient information, updating insurance records, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and collecting payments

Qualifications

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. You should be comfortable working in teams, adapting to new procedures quickly, and maintaining accuracy in fast-paced settings. Basic computer proficiency is required, with the ability to learn new software systems through training.

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred but not required. All hires must successfully complete software training upon onboarding.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position with standard hours from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role requires consistent presence at facility entrances and waiting areas, with regular movement throughout the day.
