Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) is looking for a Patient Access Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the initial contact for patients and customers, providing assistance that aligns with our commitment to accessible, affordable, and compassionate healthcare.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients and customers, both in-person and via telephone.
- Assist patients and customers in a manner consistent with established customer service standards.
- Assess the needs of patients or customers to determine appropriate scheduling with healthcare providers.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with keyboard, computer, and telephone systems.
Nice to Have
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course.
- Graduate of a vocational technical Health Unit Coordinator Program, Medical Office Specialist, or Medical Secretary program.
- Six months’ previous experience in a healthcare facility with direct patient contact or previous customer service experience.
