Build and repair wooden pallets using both freshly cut and recycled materials in a high-output manufacturing setting. This first-shift position operates on a piece-rate pay structure, allowing motivated individuals to increase earnings through productivity. Work takes place onsite at a dynamic facility focused on efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect wood from the saw area and assemble pallets using nail guns and standardized stringer patterns
- Manually stack completed pallets for forklift transport to designated storage zones
- Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and team members throughout the workday
- Maintain consistent quality while meeting production volume targets
Physical & Safety Requirements
This role requires repeated lifting of wooden components weighing up to 75 pounds. You must be able to stand, bend, stoop, walk, and pivot throughout your shift. Close vision, distance vision, and color discrimination are essential. Personal protective equipment—including eye and ear protection and safety footwear—is required. Work is performed in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, heat, and cold.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Experience in lumber, construction, carpentry, roofing, or warehouse operations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Compensation & Benefits
