Inventive Food Technology is hiring a Packaging Operator to support production goals through packaging and light machine operation. You'll perform defined tasks according to work instructions and established procedures under supervision, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Learn operator roles, responsibilities, and SOPs specific to your assigned area and equipment.
- Complete all required batch records and forms accurately and on time.
- Operate assigned equipment in a safe, productive, and timely manner.
- Perform machine changeover and cleaning as specified by the production schedule.
- Weigh, count, document, and verify materials used in your production area.
- Ensure products are produced according to batch records and specifications.
- Clean assigned equipment and rooms according to SOPs promptly.
- Adhere to company rules and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Pass packaging zone related assessments within designated time frames.
- Move and/or stack bins, metal plates, buckets, and load tubs of materials to work centers.
- Check and correct conditions not conducive to a safe, clean workplace and report safety issues immediately.
- Recognize out of control events, discontinue operations, and resume only when the issue is resolved.
- Be at the physical job location for the designated shift.
- Train others and participate in task forces to improve procedures or operations.
- Effectively problem-solve.
- Work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
- Successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications for a cGMP environment, including annual re-qualification.
What We're Looking For
- A legal right to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to use basic shop math skills, algebra, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to be at the physical location of the job at the designated shift assigned.
Nice to Have
- High School diploma or GED.
- 6 months – 2 years of current experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Operation of mechanical equipment used in conveying, sealing, inspection and packaging of products.
- Experience in target industries: pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, electronic, chemical, cosmetics, and/or food.
- Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $36,000-$45,000
