Mass General Brigham is hiring a Physician Assistant for an Inpatient Surgery role within The McLean Hospital Corporation. You will be a licensed provider responsible for the assessment and management of a diverse patient population, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of plans of care, and ongoing evaluation in a high-performing medical environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings.
- Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develop appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic, laboratory, and examination findings.
- Order medications and write prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies.
- Provide high quality and timely documentation, including admission notes, progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
- Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's Degree as a Physician Assistant.
- A valid Physician Assistant State License.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience as a licensed Physician Assistant.
