About the Role

Meijer Stores LP is hiring an Overnight Stocking Manager to lead team member engagement and area operations for the overnight stocking team within our North Detroit Market. What You'll Do

  • Engage with team members to ensure appropriate onboarding, training, development, coaching, and feedback.
  • Identify talent and engage in career discussions to support store staffing and a diversified talent pipeline.
  • Hold candid discussions with team members to uphold Meijer standards and support growth.
  • Be accountable for area operations and financial results by overseeing corporate plan execution to maximize sales and productivity, owning P&L budget line items.
  • Drive safety and compliance throughout the store, manage overall condition, and follow all store compliance procedures.
  • Ensure Team Leaders and Leads provide guidance, assign daily work, and address training needs.
  • Direct Leads and Team Leaders.
  • Implement process improvements and serve as a steward of the Meijer culture.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
  • A passion to provide industry leading service.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear and precise direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely.
  • Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking and applies it to the business.
  • A thorough understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and gain sales.
  • A strong business acumen.
  • An innovative attitude to help Meijer set the industry standard.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all team members and vendors feel valued and supported.
