Google is looking for an Outreach Operations Specialist to join our team dedicated to improving Google Maps. In this role, you will research and outreach to authoritative entities worldwide to collate geographic data, using business development skills to communicate opportunities and manage data submissions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct research in assigned cities across geographies to collate data from approved sources to enhance Google Maps accuracy.
- Communicate Google's geo mission to authoritative entities and engage with potential partners to share basemap data, primarily promoting the Geo Data Upload Tool.
- Liaise between external partners and Google stakeholder teams to convey requirements, validate data, and coordinate updates.
- Report details of outreach and operational issues to the GDO Outreach Operations Lead, including project status and partner insights.
- Manage and track all data submissions with GDO operations teams and various external partners.
- Update information in internal planning tools and platforms, logging all research, outreach, rejections, and submissions.
- Document deliverables such as number of partners contacted, open data sources identified, data sets submitted, and edits made.
- Address and resolve external partner queries associated with the project.
- Troubleshoot process and operational issues reported by authoritative data sources, developing a deep understanding of data formats and structures.
- Manage the data pipeline from receiving partner data to creating launch schedules, ensuring high quality as per Operational Guidelines.
- Utilize Google and non-Google owned tools to engage with new partners and track communications.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, GIS, a related field, or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience working in digital/technology companies with tech products.
- Experience in Business Development and B2B partnerships/sales, customer service.
- Expertise in Salesforce.com and Google Drive.
- Knowledge in Geographic Information System tools.
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English.
