NEC Software Solutions (NECSWS) is hiring an Oracle Database Application Support Team Lead

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior-level technical expert for Oracle Database systems and integrated application environments.
  • Lead and execute Oracle Database version upgrades, patching cycles, and software rollouts within client infrastructures.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for critical system issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, backup interruptions, and application connection failures.
  • Proactively analyze system monitoring data, capacity trends, performance indicators, and backup logs to prevent service disruptions.
  • Ensure reliable backup, recovery, and data restoration mechanisms are in place to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead technical responses during major incidents, guide root cause investigations, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine technical documentation, operational runbooks, and support workflows.
  • Act as the primary escalation contact for complex technical problems involving Oracle databases and related applications.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional technical teams during live incidents, change implementations, and system upgrades, providing real-time expertise.
  • Define and enforce technical standards and operational best practices for database management and application support.
  • Review and validate technical changes for accuracy and compliance prior to deployment.
  • Mentor team members through coaching and knowledge transfer initiatives to strengthen overall team capability.
  • Interface directly with clients to schedule technical activities and balance competing priorities.
  • Communicate complex technical findings in clear, accessible language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advise customers on strategies to improve system stability, performance, fault tolerance, and upgrade pathways.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to the development of automated maintenance scripts.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to the creation of automated system health assessment tools.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and help standardize procedures for deployment and system upgrades.
  • Drive process improvements that minimize manual intervention, increase system reliability, and improve service outcomes.
