Inventive Food Technology is hiring an Operator to be responsible for monitoring and operating equipment on the production/packaging line in a 24/7/365 operation. The role involves ensuring compliance with company policies, making minor mechanical adjustments, and maintaining accurate records.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and operate the equipment on the production/packaging line.
- Comply with all company policies including Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMP’s, HACCP, Early Reporting of Pain, and Attendance.
- Monitor the manufacturing process and equipment to assure it is operating properly and make minor mechanical adjustments when necessary.
- Recognize atypical/incorrect conditions and contact the Lead.
- Maintain accurate written records or logs.
- Assemble and disassemble production equipment as required by processes and Work Instructions.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Provide vacation & sick coverage of opposite shift when required.
- Cooperate/assist co-workers as required.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be able to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
- Must have a basic understanding of computers to check email and navigate the internet for safety training and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shift, 2-2-3 schedule; including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed on a regular basis is required (5pm – 5am).
- Must be willing and able to work in manufacturing environments to include; wearing safety equipment, such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, hairnets, and steel-toed shoes.
- While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to stand; walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time; and will require the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Nice to Have
- Previous work experience in a food manufacturing/GMP environment.
- Previous fork-lift experience.
- Mechanical aptitude; experience troubleshooting equipment and machines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
