Kiewit Corporation is hiring an Operations Manager to ensure the successful delivery of complex power delivery projects. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and operational performance of transmission, distribution, and substation work, ensuring projects meet safety, schedule, budget, and regulatory standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead day‑to‑day operational oversight for power delivery projects from initiation through closeout.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and performance tracking to ensure successful delivery.
- Partner with engineering, construction, safety, and field teams to align project objectives and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure full compliance with safety requirements, utility specifications, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors, ensuring work is executed efficiently and according to scope.
- Conduct regular progress reviews, prepare project reporting, and communicate status updates to leadership and clients.
- Support staffing, onboarding, and development of field personnel to maintain high levels of competency and productivity.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, develop corrective action plans, and drive continuous improvement across operations.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in utility, transmission, distribution, or power delivery project management.
- Strong understanding of construction operations, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver complex infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
- Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
