Lead the delivery of critical operations and maintenance projects in the renewable energy sector, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance across utility-scale solar assets. As the central point of contact for clients, you will oversee project execution from start to finish, managing technical teams, budgets, and compliance in high-risk electrical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct on-site O&M activities across solar and renewable energy projects, leading cross-functional teams and fostering a culture of safety and accountability
- Manage full project lifecycles with a focus on operational efficiency, financial performance, and client satisfaction
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, handling both commercial and technical aspects of project delivery
- Conduct regular site inspections, particularly in New South Wales and Queensland, including during onboarding of new assets
- Coordinate with international teams across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, participating in after-hours meetings as needed
- Oversee contract compliance, budget management, and performance reporting to ensure alignment with strategic goals
Qualifications and Experience
- At least two years of experience in managing O&M projects within utility-scale solar or comparable renewable energy environments
- Proven leadership in team development, project execution, and workforce planning
- Strong background in managing technical contracts, budgets, and high-compliance operations
- Documented expertise in electrical safety, risk mitigation, and adherence to WHSEQ standards
- Competency in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office, with solid understanding of energy generation systems, asset management, and utility-scale inverter technology
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- Valid Australian driver’s license required
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position with flexibility to be based in Wollongong, NSW. Candidates from Sydney, Melbourne, and Queensland are encouraged to apply. Regular travel to project sites will be required.
