Learner Education is hiring an Online Algebra Tutor to provide personalized, one-on-one instruction and help students build confidence and clarity in mathematics. You will join our mission to help students reach their full academic potential through genuine connection and tailored support in a flexible, remote contract role.
What You'll Do
- Tutor Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 subjects in focused online sessions.
- Provide broader math support for students from the 6th grade through college level as needed.
- Support students across the United States through flexible, remote tutoring sessions.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience.
- At least 1 year of relevant U.S. teaching or tutoring experience.
- Must have taught or tutored within the past 2 years.
- At least 1 year of direct online tutoring experience.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards.
- Ability to tutor Algebra subjects and provide broader math support from 6th grade through college level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A fast and reliable internet connection with a computer or laptop equipped with a microphone and camera.
- A quiet and professional environment for conducting sessions.
Nice to Have
- Availability during peak hours (Monday through Thursday, 3 to 10 PM ET).
- Broader weekday and weekend availability.
- A stylus pen for making clear annotations during sessions.
