Merck & Co., Inc. (also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC) is hiring a Senior Customer Representative for Oncology Sales (ONC) in Rahway, NJ. In this role, you will actively promote our oncology portfolio within a designated territory, establish strong relationships with medical institutions, and work to exceed sales targets and market share goals.
What You'll Do
- Achieve specified product targets, market share, and growth rate for your territory while effectively utilizing resources and controlling expenses.
- Develop and execute visitation plans for medical institutions according to company-specified coverage and frequency.
- Provide medical information and introduce products using appropriate promotion techniques and materials.
- Maintain high-level professional visits to continuously improve satisfaction and build long-term cooperative relationships with medical institutions.
- Explore existing market potential and develop new opportunities to ensure growth of our product market share.
- Execute company market development strategies and complete new product procurement plans.
- Organize academic activities to promote products in alignment with company promotion strategies.
- Establish, update, and maintain detailed medical institution data to inform action plans and visit schedules.
- Conduct regular regional analysis to identify and prioritize potential markets for development.
- Notify medical institution and pharmacy personnel about services, products, prices, supply channels, and market developments.
- Track medical institution inventory and procurement to ensure reasonable stock levels and prevent shortages.
- Ensure monthly product consumption at medical institutions and prevent expired product returns.
- Collaborate with market and commercial departments to maintain strong business relationships with hospital experts for successful bidding and medical insurance catalog reviews.
- Understand competitor products and activities, collect market intelligence, and report findings to supervisors.
- Complete various reports accurately and on time.
- Use company expenses and resources effectively and responsibly.
- Master complete and updated product knowledge to ensure promotion activities align with marketing direction.
- Continuously learn and skillfully utilize product-related materials and other resources provided by the marketing department.
- Read relevant medical journals, articles, and reports to stay informed.
- Strictly comply with company SOPs and financial systems, ensuring all actions meet ethical standards.
- Maintain a professional image with attire and behavior that meet company standards.
- Demonstrate dedication and actively engage in job responsibilities.
- Participate in team activities and share information with colleagues to foster mutual development.
- Complete temporary tasks assigned by your supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- College diploma or above.
- 2-3 years of experience as a hospital pharmaceutical representative.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Experience working for a foreign pharmaceutical company.
