Serbyte IT is hiring a Certified Coder and Reimbursement Specialist to serve as an integral part of our Revenue Cycle Team. You will analyze provider codes and documentation, and validate medical claims before insurance submission to ensure the accuracy of all coding and billing procedures.
What You'll Do
- Efficiently analyze insurance claims independently before submission to ensure accurate coding and optimum reimbursement.
- Identify incorrect coding and compliance trends, analyze and investigate suspected problems, and forward issues to the Coding Supervisor.
- Independently research and accurately resolve insurance denials in a timely fashion with moderate supervision.
- Effectively integrate coding and billing changes.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills when dealing with business or clinical staff.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
- A minimum of 2 years coding experience within a physician practice.
- Current AAPC CPC coding certification plus ICD-10 Proficiency certification.
- Excellent working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in the proper use of ICD10, CPT, and HCPCS codes and Medicare’s National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits.
- Excellent organizational and keyboard skills.
Nice to Have
- Surgery Coding experience.
- Epic experience.
