TensorOps is hiring an Onboarding Engineer to be the architect of first value at Files.com, guiding enterprise customers from contract to production-grade deployment. You'll partner closely with customer IT teams to design secure file workflows, implement identity and access, harden networks, integrate APIs, and prove ROI.
What You'll Do
- Design production-ready deployments, mapping requirements into robust architectures for identity, access, encryption, automation, retention, and auditability.
- Author cutover plans with throughput targets, back-pressure handling, retry logic, and verification.
- Implement identity & access correctly, standing up SAML/OIDC SSO with Okta/Azure AD and configuring SCIM for lifecycle provisioning.
- Model least-privilege RBAC, groups/roles, device/IP policies, and MFA posture.
- Integrate and automate by connecting storage backends, enterprise systems, and endpoints.
- Use REST API and webhooks to build event-driven automations; script glue in Python/PowerShell/Bash when needed.
- Harden the network path, working through constraints like egress proxies, TLS versions, DPI/IDS appliances, and DNS/IP configurations.
- Validate performance end-to-end: parallelism, window sizes, chunking, and timeouts.
- Teach, document, and scale by running admin training, producing diagrams and runbooks, and feeding patterns back to Product & Engineering.
What We're Looking For
- Think like an engineer and a consultant: deep systems knowledge plus crisp customer communication.
- Fluent in at least several of: SAML/OIDC/SCIM, SFTP/FTPS/HTTPS, TLS & PKI, REST/webhooks, Python/PowerShell/Bash, IP networking, proxies/firewalls.
- Enjoy live debugging over Zoom as much as writing clean, reusable runbooks.
- Anticipate failure modes and design guardrails to prevent them from reaching production.
- Remote-savvy: strong async notes, tight agendas, excellent ownership.
