The Office Engineer plays a key role in supporting project execution by managing critical documentation, ensuring alignment with design plans and specifications, and maintaining compliance across all project phases. This position is ideal for recent college graduates looking to build a career in construction project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage RFIs with clear communication between project teams, owners, and design professionals
- Review submittals thoroughly to verify conformance with project requirements before submission
- Track sample approvals using Procore and maintain physical and digital records of approved materials
- Support timely delivery of project information by coordinating with design teams and external stakeholders
- Ensure accurate and consistent communication of project details to internal teams
- Champion jobsite safety by promoting compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
- Assist in cost estimation and pricing through RFQ processes under Project Manager guidance
- Develop and maintain unit bibles and as-built drawings using Buildr
- Collect closeout documentation and ensure completeness for project handover
- Monitor subcontractor insurance compliance and procurement timelines
- Verify material lead times and maintain updated procurement logs
- Collaborate with trade partners to confirm installation schedules during planning meetings
- Support tracking and expediting of material deliveries in coordination with Superintendents
- Ensure effective use of digital tools including Outbuild, DroneDeploy, SiteAware, and Bluebeam
- Contribute to quality assurance efforts and assist in punch list development and resolution
- Apply Procore Inspection Tool with StructionSite and SiteAware to support quality control workflows
- Support implementation of Lean Construction principles across project operations
- Attend and document weekly OAC and other site meetings with clear, actionable notes
- Capture progress media, including photos and videos, to support project tracking
- Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction for permitting, traffic control, and 311 requirements
- Support VDC/BIM coordination as needed
- Share lessons learned and best practices through internal knowledge forums
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste across workflows
Required Qualifications
- Recent college graduate
- Demonstrated interest in a project management career within construction
