NuScale Power is hiring a systems engineer to advance the design of its microreactor technology using a systems and lifecycle approach. You will be part of a dynamic, high-impact team focused on developing this product for research reactor and commercial distributed power and heat applications.
What You'll Do
- Act as a proxy for the voice of the customer.
- Represent microreactor systems using model-based system engineering (MBSE) software.
- Perform functional allocation.
- Evaluate and recommend design solutions to advance the design.
- Perform and maintain failure modes and effects analysis.
- Capture high-level requirements.
- Identify sources of requirements for different market applications.
- Coordinate systems representation in MBSE with product testing, engineering, and project management.
- Work with engineering to develop an approach for systems representation in PLM software.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. in an Engineering or Physics related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time engineering experience in systems engineering.
- Eligibility to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree.
- Experience with MBSE software, such as Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect.

Team & Environment
You will be part of a dynamic, high-impact team focused on developing NuScale’s microreactor technology, reporting to the Manager for product development. The team reports to the CTO.
Benefits & Compensation
- Target pay range: $108,908 - $131,441 annually.
- Full pay range: $97,642 - $152,722 annually.
Work Mode
This is a remote position open to candidates in the contiguous United States.
