The Moses/Weitzman Health System is hiring a remote NIMAA MA Instructor. In this role, you will provide instruction and feedback to students in the NIMAA Medical Assisting program, support curriculum improvements, and ensure a strong connection between online learning and clinical externship experiences. You will report to the Director of Education and collaborate closely with the NIMAA team.
What You'll Do
- Learn strategies of person-centered, team-based primary health care as it relates to medical assistants.
- Gain expertise in the online curriculum and utilize instructional best practices to engage students.
- Solicit feedback to evaluate personal teaching effectiveness and focus on continuous improvement.
- Ensure didactic instruction of students, both personally instructing and coordinating others.
- Teach a minimum of one group of 20-25 students in up to five topic areas at a time.
- Provide in-depth, actionable feedback to students through commentary, postings, and grading.
- Prioritize building strong instructional relationships with each assigned student.
- Take responsibility for student success by meeting and advising students proactively.
- Manage instructional operations, including SIS postings, scheduling, record keeping, and grading.
- Be available and flexible to meet with students across multiple time zones.
- Ensure effective connection between the online program and in-clinic externship operations.
- Provide staff support to NIMAA team members and external parties as requested.
- Work closely and cooperatively with the NIMAA instructional and support teams.
- Report directly to the Director of Education and undertake assignments at their direction.
- Support the Director in creating and implementing a curriculum improvement work plan.
- Support Student Services with admissions interviews and placement verification activities.
- Participate in end-of-program debriefing sessions and help implement program changes.
- Undertake other work to support NIMAA as requested by leadership.
What We're Looking For
- An Associate’s degree or higher.
- At least three years’ experience working as a medical assistant.
- Experience in educating or training medical assistants.
- A current national medical assisting certification, or a more senior license.
- Access to a high-speed internet connection.
- Familiarity with utilizing a Student Information System (SIS).
Nice to Have
- Three years of medical assistant experience in primary health care, team-based practice.
- Three years of Medical Assistant instructional experience.

This is a fully remote position based out of the Weitzman Institute Colorado in Denver.
