Marriott Hotels & Resorts is looking for a Night Auditor to ensure the accuracy of our financial operations and provide excellent service during the overnight shift. You will be responsible for closing daily accounts, processing guest transactions, and contributing to a secure and positive guest experience.
What You'll Do
- Complete end-of-day activities, including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and rolling the date.
- Process all guest check-ins, assign rooms, and activate or reissue room keys using an electronic key machine.
- Process all payment types, such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit cards.
- Handle adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
- Print contingency lists to maintain a record of all guests for emergency purposes.
- Sell rooms to guests without reservations based on availability.
- Operate the telephone switchboard station, process wake-up call requests, and advise guests of messages.
- Complete the Room Rate Variance Report.
- Count the bank at the end of your shift and secure it; balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.
- Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, inspecting the cleanliness and presentation of all materials.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to your manager.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding uniform, appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Speak clearly and professionally; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support your team to reach common goals.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or an entire work shift.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
