Hotel Equities was looking for a Night Auditor

Hotel Equities is hiring a Night Auditor for the Overnight Shift (11 PM-7 AM) at the Baymont in Lubbock, TX. You’ll be the first point of contact for guests, providing warm, knowledgeable service while ensuring hotel safety protocols. You’ll work within a team-driven and values-based culture.

What You'll Do

  • Check guests in and out, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services.
  • Collect required identification at check-in per local legislative requirements.
  • Answer phones promptly and courteously, and up-sell rooms to maximize revenue.
  • Record, process, and respond to all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
  • Resolve any late or disputed charges during guest checkout.
  • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
  • Issue, control, and release guest safe-deposit boxes.
  • Communicate outstanding guest requests or issues to management for follow-up.
  • Take action to solve guest problems using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
  • Follow established hotel safety protocols and report any incidents or security concerns immediately.
  • Book guest reservations, process cancellations, and handle information updates.
  • Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments to ensure quality service.
  • Perform other assigned duties like guest room tours and concierge services.

What We're Looking For

  • High School diploma, Secondary qualification, or equivalent.
  • Ability to frequently stand for extended periods and lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to handle objects and computer equipment.
  • Basic computer skills to operate property management and reservations systems.
  • Passion for people and service with strong communication skills.
  • Proficient reading and writing abilities for completing paperwork and logs.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, and training abilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards.

Technical Stack

  • Property management and reservations systems.

Team & Environment

You will work as part of a team and communicate with other departments per hotel procedures. You’ll report to the supervisor or manager on duty.
