Neurocrine Biosciences is hiring a Neurology Account Specialist to own and grow our presence in the Miami, FL territory. You will be responsible for promoting Neurocrine products by developing long-term relationships with neurologists and other key customers. This role focuses on educating physicians, nurses, and care teams while managing a specific geographic area to meet sales objectives.
What You'll Do
- Create product acceptance and manage sales growth through education in targeted Neurology accounts
- Execute sales strategies and marketing plans via in-office visits, presentations, and speaker programs
- Develop and implement strategies to penetrate and segment the neurological movement disorder marketplace
- Use promotional resources and budget effectively
- Establish and maintain communication with cross-functional partners including managed care and Medical Science Liaisons
- Model behaviors consistent with company standards, values, and compliance policies
- Identify territory-specific opportunities and barriers to ensure success
- Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives
- Perform all responsibilities following FDA guidelines and industry best practices
- Utilize account selling strategies by building relationships with all members of the patient care team
- Manage relationships with key customers including opinion leaders, advocacy groups, payers, and pharmacies
What We're Looking For
- BS/BA degree in science or related field and 8+ years of commercial pharma/biotech or related experience, including 3+ years of specialty pharmaceutical sales experience, of which would include 2+ years in Neurology
- OR Master's degree in science or related field and 6+ years of similar experience noted above
Nice to Have
- Specialty pharmacy distribution experience
- Psychiatry, neurology or antipsychotic experience
- Experience with business systems, salesforce automation platforms, and other business intelligence tools
