Vodafone is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering secure, resilient, and efficient network operations across customer-facing and internal infrastructures. This role operates within an ITIL-driven environment and requires a proactive, collaborative approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Resolve network security incidents within critical SLAs through effective troubleshooting and root-cause identification.
- Perform configuration, housekeeping, and performance optimization activities, including Layer 2/3 analysis and device upgrades.
- Plan and implement internal and customer changes aligned with ITIL processes.
- Raise and manage hardware vendor tickets, coordinating replacements and following escalation pathways.
- Document technical procedures and share knowledge by coaching and mentoring team members.
- Review and approve change requests to ensure adherence to security and operational guidelines.
- Drive self-development by working towards industry-recognised certifications and expanding skills in emerging network security tools.
What We're Looking For
- Proficient in Fortigate Firewalls.
- Experienced in troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a structured, SLA-driven environment.
- Comfortable working within ITIL-aligned operational processes.
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Able to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving technical landscapes.
Nice to Have
- Knowledgeable in FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and IDS/IPS.
