Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary Kft. is looking for a Network Engineer (REF5110I) to join the Tolling Services team. You will develop and operate intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, with a core focus on designing and maintaining robust monitoring solutions to ensure infrastructure reliability, availability, and performance.

What You'll Do

Design, deploy, and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure with a focus on network security and resilience.
Implement and maintain secure networking configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
Implement and manage security measures, such as encryption, access controls, and compliance frameworks.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on security.
Work closely with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Provide on-call support for production environments, responding to security incidents and network-related issues.
Stay updated with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in Network Engineering or a similar role with a strong focus on network and security engineering.
Proficiency in network architecture, including experience with firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and IDS/IPS.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and on-premises infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and incident response.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
Familiarity with security tools like SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.
Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
Experience with security compliance standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or HIPAA.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with zero-trust architecture and microsegmentation.
Understanding of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
German language skills.
