Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary Kft. is looking for a Network Engineer (REF5110I) to join the Tolling Services team. You will develop and operate intelligent, kilometer-based tolling systems for international customers, with a core focus on designing and maintaining robust monitoring solutions to ensure infrastructure reliability, availability, and performance.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure with a focus on network security and resilience.
- Implement and maintain secure networking configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring.
- Implement and manage security measures, such as encryption, access controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
- Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on security.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Provide on-call support for production environments, responding to security incidents and network-related issues.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats, technologies, and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in Network Engineering or a similar role with a strong focus on network and security engineering.
- Proficiency in network architecture, including experience with firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and IDS/IPS.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and on-premises infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, including encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and incident response.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Familiarity with security tools like SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing tools.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
- Experience with security compliance standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or HIPAA.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with zero-trust architecture and microsegmentation.
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
- German language skills.
