ActioNet, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure critical data networks across multiple CONUS locations. In this hands-on role, you will lead network design, site assessments, and deployments while ensuring solutions meet stringent performance and security requirements.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, planning, and implementation of data networks based on customer specifications and performance criteria.
- Conduct site surveys and network assessments to determine optimal hardware and software for upgrades.
- Create detailed network designs, topology artifacts, and cyber documentation such as data flow diagrams and STIG checklists.
- Design and implement routing policies using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, including load balancing solutions.
- Implement and support network management protocols such as SNMP and SYSLOG.
- Ensure all network solutions comply with pertinent DAF policies and established security standards.
- Coordinate with local Communication Squadrons and cybersecurity teams to configure and cutover new deployments.
- Provide Post-Deployment Over-the-Shoulder Training to Operations & Maintenance teams.
- Assist in troubleshooting network-related issues post-deployment and resolve technical problems with networks, hardware, and software.
What We're Looking For
- A Technical BA/BS degree plus 7 years of experience; or a High School diploma or associate degree plus 9 years performing as a Network Engineer on large, complex networks.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with customers.
- Required certifications: CCNP or equivalent and CompTIA Security+.
- An active Secret security clearance.
